I'm having some trouble using my cdr. It appears to be recognized and, according to /proc/ide/hdd/driver, is using the ide-scsi version 0.9 module (which, AFAIK, is correct) but I can't get it to eject... I've tried hitting the eject button (of course) with no luck and I've tried 'eject /dev/hdd' which returns and has no effect and I've also tried 'eject /dev/scd1' which reports: "eject: unable to eject, last error: Input/output error." What's more, cdrecord -scanbus reports:
Cdrecord 1.9 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jörg Schilling Linux sg driver version: 3.1.19 Using libscg version 'schily-0.1' scsibus0: cdrecord: Warning: controller returns wrong size for CD capabilities page. 0,0,0 0) 'NEC ' 'CD-ROM DRIVE:28B' '3.05' Removable CD-ROM 0,1,0 1) 'OTI-975 ' 'SOCRATES ' '2.0D' Removable CD-ROM 0,2,0 2) * 0,3,0 3) * 0,4,0 4) * 0,5,0 5) * 0,6,0 6) * 0,7,0 7) * Note the "Warning" about returning "wrong size" Is my cdr drive hosed??? Maybe it's not on /dev/scd1? If so, how do I figure out where it is? I know my main cdrom drive is on /dev/scd0 because it will eject. BTW, the regular drive's the slave drive and the cdr's the master, in case that makes any difference. It's also not an installation problem because I installed it a couple years ago and it worked fine under Mandrake and Windows before that... TIA
