Poor guy ;-) I found that the gnome versions of Xemacs21 are crappy since long time. I went back to pure xemacs21-nomule (version 21.4.4-1 for time being) because of problems with gnus -- the problems went away. No problems with gnuserv/-client either. Greetings, joachim
