The module should now appear in 'modconf' under video. Then all you have 
to do is 'dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86'

-Choose nvidia driver
-Choose NOT to enable GLcore
-Choose NOT to enable DRI
-Make sure that GLX is enabled
