That only works if the package uses debconf, which file-rc doesn't. Try reinstalling the file-rc package, possibly with the --force-confnew option to dpkg; failing that, remove the config file and reinstall it with --force-confmiss. -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED]
