Hi, I downloaded the source for kernel 2.4.7 I configured and installed the kernel in the same manner I have done countless times on multiple prior kernel versions. Everything went fine. I create the kernel image using the "make bzImage" command.
When I tried to restart the computer I got the message: "Unknown compression format - System halted" Any suggestions as to what might have gone wrong??? Thank you, Mino
