[I think] It means that mutt thinks the message belongs in the thread, but it doesn't know where in the thread it belongs. This can be caused by deleting messages from the thread so that the message doesn't exist to draw ASCII art arrows from, or because the poster has a broken MUA. | I've finally understood why people like to use threads in their email | clients. :) :-). It is (now) one of my requirements for a MUA to be considered halfway decent. -D
