I just did this last weekend and had no trouble. However, I did it in several steps: 1. Performed an apt-get dist-upgrade without changing kernels. 2. Compiled my own 2.2.6 kernel 3. Installed the new kernel and rebooted. Is this what you are doing? -- Mark
