I don't know about others, but I consider people who give knowledgable answers to questions (ex on debian-user) to be "certified". I guess the real question is what do you consider "the Unix world"? If you are seeking employment or a career then see what the companies you are interested in look for. After all, the whole purpose of certification is to have a well-known entity to vouch for your abilities. -D
