No idea. You could try editing /var/lib/debconf/templates.dat (?) and turning any double newlines there into single newlines, or possibly doing the same to /var/lib/dpkg/info/*.templates. Not sure if that'll help, though. -- Colin Watson [EMAIL PROTECTED]
