I just installed XFree86 4.0.3-4 on my Debian woody box and
am having some trouble with it. I can startx and everything
seems fine. However, if I move the mouse at all, the entire
screen freezes after a few (3?) seconds and I have to
ctrl-alt-backspace to quit the x session.

I used xf86config to create my XF86Config-4 file and didn't
modify it directly at all. I double-checked my video card
settings (verified using SuperProbe) as well as my monitor
settings (ViewSonic GS790 -- pulled the specs straight from
ViewSonics' site) My mouse is set up as a plain vanilla PS2
mouse using /dev/psaux, which I verified is correct using gpmconfig.

I'm using KDE and Enlightenment as well. I read somewhere
that Enlightenment didn't play well with XFree86 4.x, but I'm
not sure if that's causing my problem or something else.

Any suggestions?
