Hello list I have, in the last few weeks, compiled a lot of kernels (with make-kpkg) Well, I have installed these kernel-image-blah.deb's, but without removing the old ones. dpkg -l shows
ii kernel-image-2. # <-- dpk -l does not show more of the package version ii kernel-image-2. ii kernel-image-2. ii kernel-image-2. ... How can I safely remove the old ones (whose files were overwritten by the newer ones) ? I could make a 2.4.5 kernel and remove all the 2.4.3.deb's, but will this work? won't dpkg complain about files that are not there but should be there? joerg -- Did you know that if you play a Windows 2000 cd backwards, you will hear the voice of Satan? That's nothing! If you play it forward, it'll install Windows 2000.
