Hi, I've searched the list archive and google but didn't find a definite answer. It seems kernel 2.4.x supports filesizes > 2 GB, but it seems userland progs need to have support, too.
So, what is the maximum file size woody can handle? I'm especially interested in sound-recorder, the fileutils, and mp3 tools (converters, players, ...) I want to record a radio broadcast while I'm away and use "at". Since i'm not sure when the broadcast will start or end, it would be convenient to be able to record for several hours, which, with 44.1 kHz and 16 bit, produces a wav file easily bigger than 2 gigs Any help highly appreciated, M. -- I did not vote for the Austrian government
