Humm. I have not had any problem with parport in the 2.4.x series at all. Let's see. I have this in my lilo conf append = "apm=on lp=parport0 parport=0x378,none" and the following in my kernel .config # Parallel port support # CONFIG_PARPORT=y CONFIG_PARPORT_PC=y CONFIG_PARPORT_PC_FIFO=y # Character devices # CONFIG_PRINTER=y If you have the same then I really don't know what it could be. Hope this helps some. -- Will the information superhighway have any rest stops? _______________________________________________________
