I used it (loooong ago) to check out what my ISP was looking for when I dialed in. It doesn't authenticate, nor is it supposed to. Had you read the man page, you would have known that. I can't help you with wvdial as I have never used it but I would suggest that you download pppconfig, read the man page, and then connect to the net. Wish RedHat would do more to educate users, like Debian does. -- One good reason why computers can do more work than people is that they never have to stop and answer the phone. _______________________________________________________
