Dear dUCK I think pppd is dieing because it is written somewhere in an etc script. It's something like 'if you dont connect before x-die' look for this options in the scripts of /etc/ppp Anyway, from my point of view, the best is making a hand made script for your ISP they sometimes appear at local linux or computing magazines hope this gives you a clue yours sincerely nestor di ::::we will always bel newbies::::
