I am having problems setting up XFree86 with the nvidia drivers. I can get all of the packages to install correctly but when I try and run X. I get the following error.
From XFree86.0.log: (EE) NVIDIA(0): Failed to initialize the NVdriver kernel module! (EE) NVIDIA(0): *** Aborting *** (II) UnloadModule: "nvidia" (II) UnloadModule: "vgahw" (II) Unloading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/libvgahw.a (EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration. If I run modprobe I get modprobe: Can't locate module NVdriver I have the following in /etc/modultils/nvidia-kernel-2.2.19 alias char-major-195 NVdriver I have NVdriver in /lib/modules/2.2.19/kernel/drivers/video Does anyone know of a solution? -steve -- Steven Isaacson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> http://spi.panaverse.com
