Here are the relevant lines in my gpm.conf: device=/dev/ttyS0 responsiveness= repeat_type=ms3 type=ms+ append="" This should work. I always used the MicrosoftProtocol for this mouse and as I mentioned in my previous mail the middle button works on the console. It works on X when I say device=/dev/ttyS0 in the XF86Config. Maybe I should disable gpm in my preferred runlevel but it's bit sad it's not working. Frank
