Hi list, i have tarred backup of working partition .Is there some way to reconstruct mbr of that partiton to be bootable ?
I tried dd if=/dev/hda1 bs=512 count=1 of=/dev/hdc1 with no luck. where hda1 is working partition and hdc1 is partition with tarred backup Any ideas ?
