Thanks Daniel... i did make what you said and learned that my xfree86 is version 3.3.6 but i coulndt manage to startx it said x: exec of /usr/bin/X11/xf86_SVGA failed _X11ransocketunixconnect : cant connect : errno =111 xinit : connection refused : unable to connect x sever
i have an i810 board and a hyundai 14" monitor which i dont know the vert. or horiz. sync... :(( do i have to give it up? is there any documentation i can find my cure ? :) thanks for your help... i'm learning with your aid... Derya
