Here is my /etc/network/interfaces
I think broadcast addresses are set automatically, and you don't
need gateways if you have no external network. The three NICs use
three separate cables, so these are three different nets:

iface eth0 inet static
    address 10.0.1.10
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    network 10.0.1.0
iface eth1 inet static
    address 10.0.2.10
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    network 10.0.2.0
iface eth2 inet static
    address 10.0.3.10
    netmask 255.255.255.0
    network 10.0.3.0
