Error while rsyncing - "@ERROR: chroot failed"

        I get an "@ERROR: chroot failed" while trying:
rsync --dry-run --port 8731 ftp.nuri.net::freeiso/debian-cd/*

        I don't recall needing to run rsync with any special permissions.  What
could I have done wrong?
