I am currently reading a book that has some info on configuring a Samba/Appletalk server. It's Linux Samba Server Administration by Roderick W. Smith (Sybex, ISBN 0-7821-2740-1). Haven't gotten very far into the book yet, but so far is well written and technically informed.
