just remove the "fixed" font entry in your /etc/X11/XF86Config explicitly define your fonts listed in /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/ remove unix/:-1 if you are not running xfs ( font server ) try running X -probeonly and seee if you can get it to say 1024x764 resolution or higher - once you get it....cp /etc/X11/XF86Config /etc/X11/XF86Config.works c ya alvin On Mon, 16 Apr 2001, Karsten M.
