I saw something about how to do this on linux.com a few weeks ago. You
might take a look at that.

I thought those would work just like regular keys but they do not -
running showkey on console shows that these are ignored - all 'normal'
keys work (including window and menu keys) but all these special
sort-of-keys do not produce anything, as if nothing was pressed...
