Hi, have you installed modutils-2.4.1 and the new ppp package from woody? You will need those if you want to run 2.4 kernels.
If you take a look at /lib/modules/2.4.1 you will notice that the arcitecture has changed. Temporarily you should be able to manually insmod the needed ppp drivers.
