I agree. It's awesome, though not perfect. If the system makes mistakes, or does something you do not want it to do (assuming you know better.:)), it should be able to be override. Also I think there should be some method for tweaking/informing the database if you install programs from source tarballs. Otherwise you get into a Windows mentality thing where the system always knows better than you -and we all know how much we like Windows :( Fred
