hello, i have just installed all the mimimal x packages and have installed them successfully.
i manage to get through XF86Config and once the data entry is completed the server shuts down then boots up to display a congratourality message. i then type startx and it comes up with: "error number 110: xtUNIXTransSocketConnect error no valid modes found" or something to that effect. and i am like: "what? - it booted up fine after the installiation (to show me the congrats' message)- why cant it do it now?". please help me!!!! this also happened 2 years ago on debian 2.0 - i thought that by reinstalling an updated system i would crush that little technical problem. it didnt. thanks simon Who needs Cupid?
