I've RTFM, but I'm still not sure what the best place to put stuff I want to happen at login is.
Is it safe to append stuff like 'alias ls='ls --color'' to the .bash_profile? Will that even work? .bashrc has that in it, uncommented, but it doesn't kick in. I'd appreciate any help.
