he has /boot as its own partition, so /boot/grub becomes /grub as far as grub is concerned. grub does not know about mountpoints. i would suggest using setup instead of install manually. root (hd1,0) setup --prefix=/grub (hd1) quit -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
