afaik, you cant mount a cd-r in read-write mode (until someone implements packet writing like adaptec's DirectCD anyway). To write to the CD-r(w) use a program like cdrecord or cdwrite. For help on configuring scsi emulation (assuming your cd-r is IDE), look at the archives for this list, there is a thread about it only a couple days old.
