I still cannot boot kernel 2.4.0 on my ThinkPad 560. I can boot the old kernel, 2.2.16. I installed a 2.4.0 custom kernel and perhaps I am missing some important option I don't know about.
Is anyone else using the new kernel on a ThinkPad and if so, what did you have to do differently than for 2.2.x kernels? I never installed the test kernels on the ThinkPad, so I did not know I would have this problem. What I get when I boot to the 2.4.0 kernel is this: LILO Booting the kernel and it stalls right there. thanks -- Andrew
