Although I can't help with your problem, I've run into exactly the same thing... I upgraded to kernel 2.4.0 3-4 days ago and had *no* problems at all. Ran an "apt-get update && apt-get upgrade" and did see that a new lilo was available. Never had any problem with it before, so I let it install. I'm using my "old" /etc/lilo.conf file. I don't think it even asked about creating a new one, using my existing one, etc. Have to assume nothing in the format of lilo.conf has changed. Sure hope someone knows what the problem is !! ;-) Thanks in advance Hall P.S. I assume "strg+d" is a language thing. Also, shouldn't "8013" be "8193" ??
