I am running Woody with XFree86 4.1.0 vesa
driver
If I let it idle for about 10-15min it will catch a
SIGILL
I put 'xset -s off -dpms -b off' in my xinitrc to
disable
any screen blanking when I run xinit, but it still
catches
the SIGILL just seems like it takes
longer.
X will die if I idle in console or in X.. doesnt
matter, I cant
work in X because if I walk away to do something it
wont
be there when I get back!
System is Presario 906US
Mobile AMD Athlon XP 1500+
ATI Mobility U1 Northbridge
ALi 1535+ A1 Southbridge
Kernel 2.4.20 w/ presario sound patch on
trident.c
and latest 2.4.20 ACPI patch from
SF.NET
