Hi all, I have stumbled across the following problem after upgrading to X 4 on my Debian/woody box: I used to run a monitoring app on another host and had it displayed on my X server using the --display option. It worked just fine until I upgraded to X 4. Now everytime I start the program, it gives me the following error msg:
_X11TransSocketINETConnect: Can't connect: errno = 111 can't open display etc. after doing a netstat -a on my machine I noticed that X didn't listen on tcp port 6000 (like it is supposed to do?). I can't find an option in my XF86Config file or anything else that could make X behave this way... help me please ;) -- Stephan Koch [ IT Coordinator ] [ reply-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ] * descr: DICON Direktwerbung GmbH * email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] * phone: +49 228 678800 * addr: Koelnstr. 299 | 53117 Bonn
