hi again, huh, i solved the problem, at least my apache is running again :-) i found out that the reason for the apache to segfault were 15 buggy apache-modules:
env_module mime_magic_module imap_module dbm_auth_module proxy_module digest_module headers_module usertrack_module jserv_module put_module throttle_module allowdev_module auth_mysql_module eaccess_module roaming_module i guess that this has something to do with removing and re-installing cocoon and jserv - although 'apt-get check' returned no dependency-problems at all. '/usr/sbin/apache -t' returns the syntax of http.conf being ok (i really think it's ok as i am pretty experienced in this). the system where the apache runs on is a very recent debian potato. or are these modules broken by default? could somebody please forward this message to the apache.deb and jserv.deb maintainers? thanks rgds dani Daniel Mettler wrote: > > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > if this message already appeared on the list, sorry for resending > it. i got still the same problem. if sb sent an answer, please > send it again as i did not even receive my own message (too close > subscription probably) > ----------------------------------------------------------------- > > hia, > > yesterday i migrated a website to debian potato. apache (from > official deb binaries) excecuted with the new configuration, no > probs. > > then i saw that both cocoon and jserv did not configure properly > (but i did not expect anything else as i have not set them up).
