Thank you Moritz, the CPU type was the problem! I thought the Celeron belonged to the Pentium III class since it is an i686. The correct was to specify as follows: CONFIG_M686=y # CONFIG_M686FXSR is not set
Pentium II/Celeron/Pentium Pro i686 Pentium III i686FXSR (What does FXSR mean?) Now if I only could get DRI to work on my G400 :( Moritz Schulte writes: > Svante Signell <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> writes: > > > Loading 240-smp1 > > Uncompressing Linux, OK, booting the kernel > > <NOTING HAPPENS AFTER THIS POINT, reset or power toggle is the only > > way out> > > Just a guess...have you specified the correct CPU type? > > moritz > -- > /* Moritz Schulte <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > * http://hp9001.fh-bielefeld.de/~moritz/ > * PGP-Key available, encrypted Mail is welcome. > */ > > > -- > Unsubscribe? mail -s unsubscribe [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /dev/null
