To _Everyone_ on this list, This is _the_ best distro-specific linux support I have found ever. AAMOF, it's probably _the_ best general linux support I've found also.
The movers are coming to crate everything up tomorrow for my move to San Jose. I left this list until last to 'unsubscribe' and just want to pass along my Thanks. Unsubscribe seems to have worked. Since I use Netscape's mail manager and wasn't sure the 'mail -s unsubscribe [EMAIL PROTECTED] < /dev/null' routine would do the trick, and since I used to see 'help me unsubscribe' posts here, let my last post for a while describe my 'unsubscribing': I went to the Debian homepage at http://www.debian.org . Under the 'Support' heading in the navigational column at the left I clicked on the 'Mailing List Subscription' link. There I found instructions to send an email with the word 'unsubscribe' as the Subject to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Within moments I received an email with the Subject 'CONFIRM' and a code number, which instructed me to click 'Reply' and then 'Send' to complete the transaction. I removed the 'Re:' before the word CONFIRM in the Subject line and deleted the text in the body of the message -- which I probably did not need to do. Then I clicked 'Send'. Within moments I received a message telling me I had been removed from the list. I've waited about an hour before sending this post. It's eeire and a bit sad to see "There are no new messages on the server." That's something I've seldom seen since joining this list back in March. I think that's one of this list's strengths. You folks are active, involved and commited -- plus nice to newbies. I could name a few people in particular, especially the Debian developers who monitor the list and those who helped me dodge the recent libc6 bullet, but 'heck' you're all great. Somebody please give my regards to Tia. Thanks for the help and your patience with, montefin P.S. If anyone knows someone in Sunnyvale/Santa Clara/Cupertino/San Jose, CA with a rental with a yard for a dog please let me know at [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
