Ok, so I have /dev/gpmdata in my XF86Config. Now, the mouse moves ... But it goes haywire! It thrases around the screen, randomly generating mouse clicks. I have commented out all the lines in the [pointers] section of my XF86Config, leaving only the protocol line and the device line.
