If I have an x-window open, then switch to a console terminal, maybe walk away for an hour or so; when I come back the x-window is closed and I have to log back in. I have xdm with enlightenment and gnome running as my x-windows system. I use a blend of Debian Potato, and Storm (ne Helix) Linux packages. Wierd Huh!
