Now there's a thing! I did all that (and added myself to group dialout) and when I tried to run "pon" I got this message /usr/sbin/pppd: must be root to run /usr/sbin/pppd, since it is not setuid-root so I changed pppd to setuid-root chmod u+s /usr/sbin/pppd Can you tell me, have I done a BAD THING?
