I am trying to get the Debian style libxx-perlmodules.deb to work, recognize, or otherwise co-exist with CPAN style modules for perl. Is there a wrapper for Debian to install the CPAN mods, or some means to convert them to debian style. I have several perl applications that do not seem to recognize that the correct perl module is installed because it has been debianized. ANY help please!! The main culprit seems to be the Digest::MD5 module. If any debianized module is installed CPAN does not recognize it as a valid installation.
