Hi everybody, I'm new to the debian mailing list as I changed from Mandrake to Debian. I installed the new Patato and had a problem with the libpaperg package.
Here is the output of a dpkg -i libpaperg.deb or apt-get install libpaperg : Unpacking libpaperg (from .../libpaperg_1.0.3-14_i386.deb) ... Leaving `diversion of /usr/bin/paperconf to /usr/bin/paperconf.libc5 by libpaperg' Adding `diversion of /usr/sbin/paperconfig to /usr/sbin/paperconfig.libc5 by libpaperg' dpkg-divert: rename involves overwriting `/usr/sbin/paperconfig.libc5' with different file `/usr/sbin/paperconfig', not allowed dpkg: error processing /var/cache/apt/archives/libpaperg_1.0.3-14_i386.deb (--unpack): subprocess pre-installation script returned error exit status 2 Errors were encountered while processing: /var/cache/apt/archives/libpaperg_1.0.3-14_i386.deb E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) I think there is an option to allow dpkg to do the renaming but I can't find. Thanks for the help Boris
