A little bit OT, but have a look at the cupsys packages (take the woody ones), CUPS (Common Unix Printing System) works like a dream in a network. When switching the browsing capability on, you can printing (and configure your printer in a web interface) 30 seconds after installing and configuring CUPS. Greetings, joachim
