GPM sucks. I find the best solution to this problem is '# rm
/etc/rc*.d/*gpm' and 'kill -15 gpm_pid'. Of course then you will have to
blow away the link to /dev/mouse and create a new link to /dev/mouse
from /dev/psaux.
