My employer (OpenSales) uses debbugs. It tends to work (unlike, say Mailman <coff>), has both web and email based interfaces, and seems to do what we want it to do. It doesn't offer much in the way of security or authentication -- **anyone** can close a bug, which means your QA person has to be on his/her toes. Weekly summaries of activity and status. The downside -- *very* thin support. The mailing list has something like a dozen posts to it this year, and it's hard to raise a response. Bugzilla seems to be more popular, though I haven't used it myself. SourceForge uses Bugzilla IIRC. Collab.net is in the process of setting up project support a'la SourceForge. I know they're doing a new version control software, not sure what bugs stuff they're doing. I'd look at that. -- Karsten M.
