Hi Ray, I've got an optical intellimouse and still haven't figured out how to get the middle button or wheel going. However, the package imwheel was recommended just haven't work through that yet. Also, the line
ZAxisMapping 4 5 to the Pointer section. And don't select Emulate3Button. I've also got a Viper 770 w/ 16MB. I'm running on a Optiquest V95 at 1600x1200 and 32 bit. I grabbed most all the gnome packages I could find. Also, I've just got E going also. I knew that I only needed the SVGA drivers for X. This was all from a clean install of the Cheap-Bytes disks. run xf86config and go through the steps. Pick the look through the card list, the V770 should be in it. I had to enter my monitors frequencies by hand... I'll wait on sending anything until I get the middle button and wheel working. HTH -- Greg.
