Problem Connecting to ISP...

Hello,   I'm having trouble connecting to my ISP.  I'm using 'wvdial' to dial in and I've also run 'pppconfig' and entered all the appropriate information.  Basically, I can't do anything after 'wvdial' calls up 'pppd':   --> Sending: (password) Entering PPP Session. IP address is 64.154.143.106 MTU is 1524. [EMAIL PROTECTED] };}!}$}%t}"}&} } } } }'}"}(}"}3})}#} @{[19][0e]\(a~ --> PPP negotiation detected. --> Starting pppd at Thu Sep 14 20:38:05 2000   If I type 'ifconfig', I see the following for the ppp0 device:   ppp0 Link encap:Point-to-Point Protocol inet addr:64.154.137.31 P-t-P:63.215.26.130 Mask:255.255.255.255 UP POINTOPOINT RUNNING NOARP MULTICAST MTU:1524 Metric:1 RX packets:8 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:8 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:10   QUESTION 1:  My understanding is that the "P-t-P" IP address should be the same as my ISP's Nameserver address (Primary DNS).  Is this true??  If so, then it's using the wrong address.  Where could "P-t-P" IP address possibly come from??  I don't ever remember entering that number and I don't know where it's coming from.  I certainly did not enter it when running 'pppconfig'...   I've tried connecting several times, and the "P-t-P" IP address never changes (unlike the dynamic "inet addr" IP address).  This may point to it being in some config file somewhere...   I'm including a potion of my /var/log/messages as the last piece of info...   Sep 14 20:38:05 navi pppd[3125]: pppd 2.3.11 started by root, uid 0 Sep 14 20:38:05 navi pppd[3125]: Using interface ppp0 Sep 14 20:38:05 navi pppd[3125]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyS1 Sep 14 20:38:09 navi pppd[3125]: local IP address 64.154.143.106 Sep 14 20:38:09 navi pppd[3125]: remote IP address 63.215.26.130   <running Potato, thanks for your help>   -- Daly
