To all: I'd like to put out a big thanks to everyone on the list. Over the last week or so I've asked a lot of questions and have received quick, helpful advice. Being a newbie to Debian I was intimidated by the 'mistique' of how hard Debian is to install. I personally found the install docs to be lacking in clarity but once I was thru that the rest of the system is wonderful. I came from a RH background and I can now say I truly know what /etc is meant for. RH does a terrible job at a number of different things. I also think apt is one of the most powerful tools I've ever seen. A big hand for those guys.
Again, thanks for being patient with the new guys and answering questions I'm sure you have seen before. I think it's time for me to send in a donation to Debian for they truly deserve my support. Regards, Bill
