Weird behavior, I am guessing permissions, but don't know which would affect it in this way:
I can log in through X as root no problem, If I login in on the same screen with <username> and password: -it goes blank -flashes back to the console for a moment -restarts X back at the login prompt both account log into a console fine of course Thanks!
