I have happily been using the Alt-Up key-combination, which can be
configured in /etc/inittab:

# Action on special keypress (ALT-UpArrow).
#kb::kbrequest:/bin/echo "Keyboard Request--edit /etc/inittab to let this work."
kb::kbrequest:/usr/sbin/pppd call bw ipparam mail
-- /etc/inittab snippet --
Now, is there any way for utilizing more of those? Like
Alt-{Down,Left,Right,Whatever} or some other key-combination?
